Hello Visitor,
Today your child had an assembly to introduce an exciting event that will be happening on Monday 25th March. They have watched a video of an Olympic athlete from the Great British Team telling the children that he will be coming to visit our school! Sam Khogali is a long jumper and whilst he is here he will be doing some circuit training with the children and talking to them in a special assembly to explain what he has to do in order to win Olympic medals. He will also be answering any questions the children may have about being an Olympic athlete. In the run up to our visitor coming to our school the children are being invited to support our Olympic athlete by raising sponsorship money for him so he can continue in his ongoing training.
Your child will bring home a sponsorship form with them today. Please check book bags. The money raised will be split between Sam and our school.
The children are being asked to wear their PE kit on Monday 25th March. Please ensure that long hair is tied up and all earrings have been removed.
If your child would like to support Sam please ask family and close friends to fill in the sponsor form and all money raised to be handed to the office the week beginning Monday 18th March. There are prizes to the children who raise the most and Sam will be handing those out during his assembly.
I am sure you would agree that this is an exciting opportunity to meet an actual competitive Olympian and for the children to be part of Sam’s success at the next Olympic games.
