Hello Visitor,
Throughout the Summer term, the focus for the Year 1 writing unit is ‘Fairytales.’ The children will be exploring many traditional stories, for example, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Little Red Riding Hood etc.
In order to enhance our topic we will having a Fairytale Wow Day on Friday 24th May 2024. Children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite fairytale character (We kindly ask that super heroes are left at home). Costumes don’t need to be purchased – we are always impressed with a bit of recycling and creativity. The children will spend the day taking part in lots of exciting activities ranging from; castle building, crown/tiara decorating, potion making, gingerbread baking and more.
In order to make this day a magical experience we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £1.
At 2:30pm on the Wow day, you are invited into school to share some stories with the children and enjoy some Gingerbread. We look forward to seeing you in our magical fairytale land.
